Biography

Introduction

Hi, I’m Steven, your local Lawn Master representative in Kirkcaldy. Some of the areas that I cover include: Burntisland, Lochgelly, Glenrothes, Leven, Kinross, Dunfermline, Cupar, Perth, Auchterarder, Crieff, Dunblane and other surrounding areas.

Steven’s Background

I have worked in grounds maintenance since leaving school, where I first undertook a job working for the council maintaining sports pitches. During my time working for the council, I became qualified in Sports Turf Management and learned how to maintain turf in various environmental conditions.

In 2009, I joined Lawn Master by working for Barry Dolan, the owner of the Lawn Master franchise in Dundee. During my time working with Barry, I have worked with thousands of customers to create a lawn that they can be proud of.

After enjoying my time working with Barry for so long, the opportunity to run my own Lawn Master territory became available. I’ve always had great pleasure in the results we have achieved with customers lawns, so the opportunity to be in charge of my own business doing the same thing was something I was very excited about.

Steven’s Achievements

I am qualified with HNC qualifications in Sports Turf Management & Horticulture, which I achieved duirng my time maintaining sports pitches for the local council.

What Steven Can Do For You

With my many years of experience of maintaining many lawns for Lawn Master, I can provide you with a treatment plan to rectify all of your lawn problems. I have worked with thousands of lawns in various sitautions, including lawns with serious drainage issues, and lawns that dry out too quickly.

Some examples of problems that I regularly deal with include:

  • High levels of moss and thatch - We complete scarification to clear your lawns of moss and thatch. This allows the grass to grow properly and allows air and nutrients to get to the roots.
  • Lawn Diseases - Red Thread is a common disease that occurs in lawns, particularly in the summer. We can apply fungicides and customise fertiliser programmes to prevent these diseases and help stop them from occuring in the future.
  • Leatherjackets - The larvae of crane flies (daddy long legs). We can apply treatments to rid your lawn of these pests.
  • Compacted soil and poor drainage - Lawns become compact over time as they are walked on and cut with the lawnmower. We complete regular aeration to allow your lawn to breathe. Aeration allows air access to the roots of your lawn, and makes fertiliser applications far more effective.

Every lawn is different and therefore needs a bespoke plan to deal with its problems. I will explain all of the processes required to rectify your lawn problems, and provide various options to suit your budget. Please feel free to call me for a free lawn analysis and quotation.
