Banbury, Chipping Norton & The Cotswolds
Hi, I’m Nigel, the local Lawn Master representative for the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire. I also cover some areas in Northamptonshire, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire. If you live in or around Banbury, Oxford, Abingdon, Bampton, Chipping Norton, Bourton on the Water, or Leamington Spa then please contact us for a lawn analysis and quotation.
We have been operating for 8 years, during which time we have built up a large and loyal customer base. It is very pleasing to me that we still provide services to many of the customers who started with us in the first year, and that most of our new customers come to us via referrals and recommendations.
What Nigel can do for you
Our approach to assessing a lawn is to examine its current condition, which largely consists of the soil base, quality of grass, extent of weeds and moss, plus any other issues.
We then establish the type of lawn that you would like. For example, are you happy with the existing grass or do you find that it is unsuitable for your intended use? If for example you would like an ornamental lawn only, finer grasses would be much more suitable. The recommendations we make are guided by these considerations. In many cases a seasonal programme of fertilisers, weed and moss control combined with an annual aeration will achieve the desired results. If a lawn suffers from extensive moss and/or thatch we may recommend scarification. Where a lawn is in very poor condition it may be better to renew it. We offer a lawn renewal service at about a quarter to a third of the cost of returfing, and with better longer-term results.
When we assess a lawn, we leave written observations, recommendations and a quotation. It is then up to you to consider whether you would like to proceed. We do not ask anyone to sign a contract, and the service can be started or stopped at any time. We also guarantee not to increase any of our prices for at least the first two years.
Our customers have lawns that range in size from 20 square metres to several acres. So whatever the size and condition of your lawn, we can improve it.
My operators are always polite, friendly and happy to give on-going advice. We are mindful that getting a lawn to the right standard and keeping it at that standard is a partnership between us and the owner. As important as the work we do is, regular mowing to the correct height with sharp blades, change in direction of cut, and clearing leaves as soon as possible after they fall are all important in maintaining a healthy lawn.
We look forward to working with you to create the lawn that you have always wanted.
"Dear Nigel. You may get lots of appreciative messages, but I would like to add one. Our lawn looks smashing. The shame is that we now go away, and there should be no one to see it. Kind regards - Nigel Harvie"
