A Review of Romsey Show At Broadlands Park (8 September 2012)
12th Sep 2012
One of the biggest one day shows in the UK took place in Romsey last weekend, where two highly qualified and experienced greenkeepers; Spencer Haines and Kevin Unsworth were present to answer any questions about lawn care.
The show is situated in the grounds of the english country house Broadlands House, which is the former home of Lord Louis Mountbatten, who was killed by an IRA bomb in 1979.
There were various people interested in Spencer’s and Kevin’s knowledge with around a total of 30,000 people who visited the show.
Our new stand, which is now complete with flags received a lot of positive feedback, particularly with the comparison of printed pictures of poor quality lawns compared to high quality lawns.
We handed out a few hundred brochures and increased a lot of peoples knowledge on the subject of lawn care and dealing with certain problems in turf.
Some other great news.
Spencer has also sponsored a youth football team called the Winklebury Wizards, who are associated with Reading F.C. We will be getting some pictures of the team playing soon when they have their first match of the season.
Best of luck boys!
