What is the best treatment for my lawn?

Fertiliser programmes and aeration. A lawn maintenance programme that includes seasonal feed & weed, and moss control applications is recommended to keep your lawn in good health throughout the year. Also, in order to consistently maintain a healthy lawn, an aeration treatment should be carried out annually.

How much does lawn care cost per month UK?

Each lawn is different; therefore, our lawn operators must first analyse your lawn before giving out any prices. Lawn Master provides a free lawn analysis and quotation.

How many times a year should you fertilise your lawn?

5 times a year. In order to maintain a healthy lawn throughout the year, we recommend fertilising your lawn once during spring, autumn, and winter, and twice during summer due to heat, dry weather and increased foot traffic.

Is aerating your lawn worth it?

Benefits of aerating your lawn:

  • Reduces the compaction of the soil
  • Improves drainage
  • Reduces moss levels
  • Encourages healthy root growth
  • Increases root depth
  • Helps lawns become more drought resistant
  • Reduces water runoff
  • Helps to break down thatch
  • Allows water, air and nutrients to have direct access to the root system

Does dead grass grow back?

No. Several reasons can cause grass to die, including grass decline over a period of time, lack of water and nutrients, or compacted soil.

If you’ve notice grass dying in your lawn, it may be best to look into a lawn consultation. In our consultations, we will look at the cause of the problem, and provide you with the best course of action.

Is it better to cut grass short or long?

The height that you cut your lawn at is a matter of personal preference. However, it is important to ensure that most grass types are not cut lower than 25mm, as this weakens the turf, allowing more weeds to encroach and also makes the grass turn yellow.

How do I fix a bumpy lawn? / How do I even out my uneven lawn?

Top dressing. The most effective method of improving minor surface irregularities is to apply top dressing on a regular basis until the desired effect is achieved.

What if it rains after I fertilise my lawn? / Can I apply fertiliser to wet grass?

Light rain is beneficial for fertilisers as water helps soak the fertiliser deep into the soil. However, too much rain can wash away the fertiliser before it takes effect in your lawn.
