A Review of The Garden Show at Stansted Park In Hampshire (15 – 17 June 2012)
19th Jun 2012
Richard Verney manned the stand and was impressed with the usual quality and the amount of people present throughout the weekend.
The show is located in the park of a beautiful stately home that’s often used as a wedding venue.
We’ve been attending the show for years as it always seems to attract a wide range of people. It has various kids entertainment, food tents and even a jazz band, making it a family event.
Overall, there was a lot of interest and the new stand with the before and after pictures of lawns that we have worked on seemed to attract a lot of attention. We received lots of great feedback regarding the quality of our stand.
Those who already knew of our services were interested to find out more, therefore we were able to explain to them more about how we are unique and how they would benefit more from our services compared to others.
We managed to talk to approximatly 1400 people over the 3 days, gaining various people’s details to which we will soon be working with.
People really seemed to appreciate the fact that they could talk to a real qualified turf care professional compared to someone who simply claims that they know a lot about turf.
With our long track record of being the largest group of qualified greenkeepers in the UK to provide lawn care services, people seem to value our opinion much more than anyone else’s.
One particular topic that we noticed a lot of questions about from people this year was ants. A lot of people seem to be dealing with them so were keen to ask us for advice regarding treatments.
We think next year a few flags would help improve our stand furthermore and certainly make it more noticeable. We realise the importance of making our stand attractive as there were over 250 stands present throughout the weekend.
