Aeration
Aeration is one of the single most important treatments that you can perform on
a lawn. This is done mainly at the end of the year, and is completed by a heavy
machine that pushes a tine bar into the soil, and removes a core throwing it onto
the surface of the lawn.
This application then allows air and moisture to enter the soil. It also relieves
the sub surface compaction caused by foot traffic or clay type soils, and affects
the exchange of gases between the soil and atmosphere.
Lawn Master is also able to complete hollow tine aeration. This is another form
of respiration that is more applicable on wetter lawns, where pulling a core out
will have little or no advantage, as the hole will soon close up after removing
the core.
